Winery dining room

Photo looking through new doors to existing kitchen

For everyday family living, the glass and Douglas Fir doors that separate the kitchen from the dining room may be slid out of sight into wall pockets.  When the room is used for formal dinners, doors are closed to isolate the kitchen from the diners.  More illusionistic painting by Carlo Marchiori is visible over the fireplace, where cabinet doors conceal a TV screen.  The floor throughout is terrazzo in a custom pattern matching color and material of the house’s original construction in the 1980s.
