Pinole Point Steel Company had a simple project—they wanted to add one room to their sheet steel galvanizing and painting plant in Richmond. The room was 65,000 square feet in area but, in fact, it was a relatively simple project. The guardhouse pictured above (David Wakely photo) was a kind of afterthought addition, but probably absorbed as much detailing time as the big room. Low window is for guard’s conversation with car drivers; high window for his conversation with big rig drivers. |
